Mustang’s Women Leaders attend the Worcester Women’s Leadership Conference 2022
As part of our commitment to seeking life-changing treatments for patients with rare diseases, Mustang Bio recently observed Rare Disease Day 2023. February 28th, 2023, is designated Rare Disease Day to call attention to the public health issues associated with rare diseases, affecting nearly 30 million Americans, and countless others around the world. The Mustang team participated in a variety of activities, including a “Walk for Rare” in recognition of the approximately 6,800 rare diseases that affect millions of Americans. The week culminated with an all company meeting on Tuesday, February 28th where guest speakers from Hsu Family Charitable Foundation for Brain Cancer Research and a Mustang Bio Speaker with “perspective when GBM affects a family member”. Mustang Bio is committed to ensuring that our team focuses on patients in all that we do and benefits from patient insights through an ongoing series of programs and initiatives.
Mustang won the Bronze!
The Massachusetts Economic Impact Award is highly prestigious, as it recognizes companies for their impact on the communities and beyond. The decision was based largely on our employment opportunities & practices, adding 56 new jobs since January 2020, and the diversity of the team, which is 53% women and 26% minority. We have invested $2.5 million to build a 6,000 square-foot expansion of our manufacturing facility, where we are developing cell and gene therapies to bring life-saving treatments to patients who are desperately waiting for them.
